Malibu Hillside Pool
20 weeks timeline, $325k-$475k budget range, 15x36 ft finished size.
The
transformation.
Challenge,
approach, result.
The Malibu site had narrow canyon access, a steep rear yard, and fire-zone requirements that shaped the construction plan from day one. The pool had to feel relaxed, but the structure underneath needed to be exact.
We oriented the shell toward the canyon view, tucked the equipment where service access stayed practical, and selected a pebble finish that could handle heavy sun and mineral exposure. The raised spa was engineered with the pool shell to avoid a later structural patchwork.
The project finished in 20 weeks after permit release. The pool now feels simple from the patio, but its success came from solving access, slope, drainage, and equipment placement before excavation.
